Commonwealth Extracts is proud to offer all-inclusive services for your extraction needs. From our supercritical CO2 process to our in-house testing and COAs, you can ensure that your products will be treated with the highest quality care from start to finish. Whether you’re looking for extracts to purchase and aren’t sure where to start, or you’re interested in white-label manufacturing services that can take your own extraction business to the next level, it’s important to know everything you can about not only the process, but the finished product.
At Commonwealth Extracts, we take pride in the quality and care behind our supercritical CO2 extraction process as well as go the extra mile to ensure product quality afterward. Once the process is completed, we’re left with the product in its raw form which consistently averages above 50% total CBD (including CBDa). This material can be manufactured or further processed into distillates or isolates once the non-cannabinoid materials such as wax, lipids, fats, and sugars are removed. CBDa can also be transformed into CBD within the product through a heat process which creates a decarboxylated product perfect for creating isolates.
Distillates and isolates are further refined products made from raw material. After the CO2 extraction and winterizing process, we’re able to create quality distillate products through a process similar to Bourbon distillation. From here, we’re left with a finished product that averages at 75-80% CBD, and is known for its translucency and golden color. Similar to honey in appearance and texture, distillates are typically the preferred base ingredient for consumable CBD, though they can also be vaporized.
Going even one step further, the isolate products you’ll find at Commonwealth Extracts are the result of our final step in the refinement process. Isolates are made up of a very dry, white powder that tests at a range from 99.5%-99.8% CBD while remaining 100% THC free. Our quality certified pharmaceutical grade isolates are the most concentrated form of CBD available which also makes medical study use.
Full panel COAs are available for our products, including distillates and isolates. Commonwealth Extracts proudly tests all materials in-house and provides COAs upon request from our on-site PhD chemist. We pride ourselves through use of our proprietary production and manufacturing processes ensuring that our materials are grown and sourced under contract in accordance with organic protocols and following them every step of the way.
